But in the meantime, go to Blogger.com and try your hand at setting up a free blog. I started with Blogger.com and they are pretty straightforward.
I learned thru a lot of trial and plenty of error — but people have written lots on the topic too — so Google away!

You can contact Google and ask the why your black news site got punished, I think I am being killed by Google for using seo plug-in on a new website. I am going to be on my knees saying I will not do it again. Unlike John Chow.
